PEANUT BUTTER, PROTEIN SMOOTHIE RECIPIE (LOW SUGAR, VEGAN)
Today is a very exciting day because I get to share with you my morning smoothie recipe, and I love smoothies, and my first EVER blog post here! This recipe has seriously saved my mornings, it gives me tons of energy, its sweet but not too sweet and its completely dairy free. I lean towards a dairy free diet because I have very sensitive skin and I find dairy is one thing that without fail, always causes me to break out. So it's a win win!
In this recipe I used Vega One powder in their "Coconut Almond" flavour. If you like nutty and coconut flavours, I suggest this one because it goes nicely with peanut butter. But I also really like their "French Vanilla" flavour if you want something a little understated that will still give you just as much protein. Vega One powders are all completely completely gluten free, contain no sugar, and are made with real plant based food ingredients. Literally finding all the best things in one. You can always substitute your favourite protein powder in this recipe if you like.
PEANUT-BUTTER, BANANA, CACAO, SMOOTHIE RECIPIE (LOW SUGAR, VEGAN)
INGREDIENTS
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp of raw cacao powder
2 tbsp vega one Coconut Almond All-in-One shake powder
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- Chop up the frozen banana into 2" pieces
- Add to blender. Then add crunchy peanut butter
- Next add the chia seeds, cacao, protein powder, and half of the almond milk
- Turn your blender on low for 30 seconds, then slowly pour the rest of the almond milk into the blender. Turn your blender up to high for another 30 seconds, then pour into a glass
