CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER SMOOTHIE BOWL (LOW SUGAR, GLUTEN FREE)



My two favourite foods have always been chocolate and peanut butter. I'm definitely one of those people who can have peanut butter on a spoon while watching a show or studying or something. I can't help it! Maybe it's the Canadian girl in me, it's true you can take the girl out of Canada but you can't take Canada out of the girl! Anyway when I started making smoothies for breakfast and discovered a way to create not just a smoothie but a smoothie bowl that has everything I love and is still healthy for me, I was overjoyed. 


Be prepared for a smoothie bowl that has just a bit of sugar from the banana, nothing extra. A hint of cinnamon and even a little cheeky avocado so you get those healthy fats. You'll really be winning at life with this one! 



CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER SMOOTHIE BOWL (LOW SUGAR, GLUTEN FREE) 

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup almond milk
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 frozen banana
1/2 ripe avocado
1 tbsp greek yogurt
2 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 tbsp flax seeds
a pinch of cinnamon 
INSTRUCTIONS 
  1. Add Almond milk, avocado, banana and greek yogurt into blender
  2. Blend on low until smooth 
  3. Add peanut butter, cacao powder, flax seeds and cinnamon
  4. Blend on high 
  5. Pour into bowl and add toppings as desired 
  6. Feel happy and satisfied.
*toppings: banana, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, cinnamon, honey etc*
